Date Established: The Rides at City Park "Kiddie Rides" were established in 1955

Current use/ownership of building:  The Rides at City Park are currently owned and operated by the City of Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department

Past use of building: This space has grown over the years but has always been dedicated to providing fun and entertainment to Pueblo families.

Significant damages, restorations, etc: The rides moved locations throughout City Park three times. The current site, north of the zoo, has been the site since 1983. The rides were converted to electricity in the 1940’, and the carousel underwent significant restoration due to a group of concerned citizens spearheaded by George R. Williams in the 1950’s, the namesake of the Carousel facility.

Annual events/functions (link to community events):

Open annually during the summer months starting Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Unless operational for a special event, the rides are available to the public Thursday-Sunday

Fun fact: The Carrousel is one of the oldest operating carrousels in the United States and is listed as an Historic Place with the National Register of Historic Places.

Community Impact: Affordable fun is the name of the game! Tickets are still only .25! The ability for fun to be had for all ages is easily accessible with many organizations providing the rides as a free community event each year.
